Filming Permits

Securing the necessary permits is a crucial step in ensuring a smooth and successful production in Rancho Cordova. Our film office is here to guide you through the permitting process, making it easier for you to focus on bringing your creative vision to life.

General Business license Fee*

$103

A General Business License is required to film within the City of Rancho Cordova. Please complete the Film Permit Application and return with all required documents, i.e. proof of insurance to Charles Lago (clago@calcaparts.org).
This permit will last for the duration of your production.

Insurance Requirements

Submit Certificate of insurance showing at least one million dollars ($1 million) for General Liability.
Submit an additional insured endorsement for General Liability listing, "The City of Rancho Cordova, its officers, agents, officials, employees, and volunteers," as additionally insured.
Proof of Workers' Compensation coverage along with a Waiver of Subrogation endorsement.
If Permittee has no employees, submit a Workers' Compensation Exemption Letter.

COVID-19 Requirements

There are currently no restrictions on filming in the City of Rancho Cordova or Sacramento County. Please follow all State of California and Sacramento County regulations and guidelines relating to workplace safety.
